1. I’d say my phone’s a a knapped-flint hand axe. I’m not into updating gadgets as well, and my phone’s still the best in providing me the best service ever.

2. I’m too old school ~ “man, I’m so old school that when I was young, it was just “school”, because the first “new school” had not happened yet” ~ that I often don’t carry my electronic gear with me.

   So ~ my 4.3” Android player / ebook reader, walking stick. Its useful for a couple of things, some of them (like self defense weapon) not the MOST useful for that but better to have it than nothing.

   My Nook Color, close to an antler, though it does several things well, not just one.

   My primary net interface is a broken down netbook with a USB compact keybard, actually plugged in via ethernet, so I don’t know WHAT that is.

   I decided in this case that perhaps the question at the end wasn’t rhetorical, and that some might benefit from hearing what others have as a “daily carry”.

   (my phone is an old flip model, pay as you go, I never have it with me. My daily carry is a 15” laptop – that being the smallest size to pack a keyboard I can actually use – sticking to the conceit above I’d call it a flint axehead that I’ve lashed to a conveniently sized stick)
